Two self-study
programs are available: “Restraint
and Seclusion: Catching the JCAHO Spirit”
(catalog #8514) provides valuable information
on managing restraint and seclusion to comply
with JCAHO and Federal standards. The complete
program includes a video, workbook, and post-test,
and earns one hour of continuing education
credit upon completion. |

Also available
is the two-part video series, “Restraints
and Restraint Alternatives” (catalog
#8503). This program examines restraint
use under OBRA guidelines in long-term care
settings, and emphasizes precautions for safe
use. Programs can be purchased by calling
the Posey Customer Service department, and
are available for a no-risk 30-day evaluation. |
